I did it! Last time I wrote that I wasn't sure if I would it my 10% goal or not. Well, I needed to loose .8 and I lost just that! Now I am 1.2lb away from receiving my 25lb charm for my 10%key chain!  I am excited and hope that I have reached it.  I have been sick and busy, have a lot of housework to catch up on, so maybe we can chat more later.

Ever Heard of upromise?

Has you ever heard of upromise?  I just came across it. It is supposed to help you save for college just by a percentage on what you spend.  It's pretty neat check it out upromise
Did anyone sign up for the Made To Crave challenge? Just curious.  I am loving it so far.  I have printed everyday out and I am going to share them with a group of friends this Sunday.  My sister and I have decided to start our own little motivational group of people who need to eat right and move more:)  A nice way of saying we need to put away the cookies and get off the couch.  We are trying to decide on a  name for our little group.  We had said Fat Girls Annoymous, some were offened by that one.  We also said P.S.O.S. for Please Save Our Shape, and the latest one is S.S.S. for the Sisterhood of the Shrinking Skirts! A twist on the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants!  Our fist meeting is this Sunday and we are going to take other suggestions then have a vote! If you have any ideas leave me a comment!  I am very excited to start. I am going to continue going to Weight Watchers also for a bit.  I only have 1lb to go until I reach my 10% goal!!! I thought for sure I would hit it this week, but then I got a little carried away with my workout yesterday, and know I am sore again, and will probably be retaining water and not have a good loss this week. Ahhh! well  I  guess I will find out tomorrow. Until next time.....

From "Made To Crave" by Lysa Terkeurst

Day 2 of 21 day challenge

Thought for the Day: God made us capable of craving so we’d have an unquenchable desire for more of Him, and Him alone. Nothing changes until we make the choice to redirect our misguided cravings to the only One capable of satisfying them.

From "Made To Crave"

                                                                           21 Day Challenge.
                                                                                 Day One
Thought for the Day: Eating in its proper context is not the problem. God gave us food for nourishment, strength, and even celebration. But when pleasure becomes unrestrained, there’s a problem.

I Refuse!

When I heard this song it hit me right in the face. I'm one that has good intentions but rarely follows through with them.  I'm always talking about wanting to help people and doing good things. But then I start thinking there is nothing around here to do.  No homeless shelters to serve at or community service projects to get involved with.  So I just sit and wait for something to come along.
Not anymore!!!

There is so much to do!  The first and greatest thing  I can do is to tell people about Jesus!  About how he loves them and how he can change their lives.  About how a relationship with him can make all the difference in the world.  Then I can show God's love by searching for ways around our community to make a difference not just sitting and waiting for an opportunity to find me.

My daughter Charity Faith is refusing to do nothing.  She is jumping rope to help kids with special hearts!  She is raising money for the American Heart Association!  If you would like to donate to her cause you can do so  at:Jump Rope For Heart
I challenge you to make a difference is someones life today!
If you already Refuse to do nothing enter the I Refuse contest at klove.com
But first you have to listen to the song!

MADE TO CRAVE!

What do you crave?   I heard this lady Lysa Terkeurst on the klove morning show a couple of weeks ago.  It interested me because I am in the process of trying to loose weight, and I had just had this conversation with my husband about food.  I was explaining to him(who has no weight issues and could care less about food) that I love food! It is hard to just not eat those brownies and cookies and SNICKERS!  To him, it is ridiculous.  But then we heard Lysa on the radio talking about her new book Made To Crave.  That Friday i got an email for Fabulous Friday deals from christianbook.com and  that book was on Sale for 50% off.  I had to order it.  I did and have just started reading it.  I went to her website  http://madetocrave.org/  and she is doing a free 21 day challenge.  I have  already signed up.  Want to join me? Just follow the link above.

Has food become more about frustration than fulfillment? Made to Crave is the missing link between a woman’s desire to be healthy and the spiritual empowerment necessary to make that happen. Author Lysa TerKeurst personally understands the battle that women face. In Made to Crave, she will help you:
  • Break the cycle of “I’ll start again on Monday,” and feel good about yourself today.
  • Stop agonizing over numbers on the scale and make peace with your body.
  • Replace rationalization that leads to diet failure with wisdom that leads to victory.
  • Reach your healthy goals and grow closer to God through the process.
This book is not a how-to manual or the latest, greatest dieting plan. Made to Crave is a helpful companion to use alongside whatever healthy eating approach you choose — a book and Bible study to help you find the “want to” in how to make healthy lifestyle changes.
